The Hofner CT Series Violin bass is a hollow body bass based on Hofners 500/1 bass made famous by the beatles. It recreates the style of the 1964 500/1 bass. The Hofner Contemporary Series CT Violin bass features a sustain block inside the body to create modern, deep-resonating bass sounds while retaining that distinctive Höfner bass sound. Hard shell case included. We also offer tea cup knobs and flat wound strings for that vintage look and tone.
The HCT 500/1 Violin bass is also available in a Lefty (Sunburst only ) and Black (right handed only ) models.
New: Hofner has recently released a Cavern pickup version of the CT bass, the CT500/1-CV. There is very limited availability on these basses. The CV CT Cavern features flat wound strings, vertical headstock logo and diamond logo pickups and cavern pickup spacing.
