The Hofner CT Series Cavern Violin bass is a hollow body bass based on Hofners 500/1 bass made famous by the beatles. It recreates the style of the 1961 500/1 bass with cavern spaced pickups. The Hofner Contemporary Series CT Violin bass features a sustain block inside the body to create modern, deep-resonating bass sounds while retaining that distinctive Höfner bass sound. The CT Cavern bass als comes standard with flat wound strings for a vintage Hofner tone. Hard shell case included. We also offer tea cup knobs to complete the 1961 look.
The CT Cavern bass is a relatively new model and is currently only available as a right bass however we anticipate Hofner releasing a left handed version at some point.
